Weatherite's Commitment to Sustainable Business Practices
At Weatherite, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From investing in solar energy and adopting electric vehicles to implementing eco-friendly refrigerants and innovative energy-saving practices, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and driving a greener future.Â
In just 18 months, Weatherite has made significant strides in embracing renewable energy with the installation of 1,080 solar panels, spanning approximately 2,500 m² of factory roof space.
Since going live in August 2023, these solar panels have produced a remarkable 503,742 kWh of green energy. Here’s how it’s making a difference:
â‹… Self-use: 268,628 kWh of renewable energy has been used on-site.
â‹… Grid Contribution: 235,114 kWh of excess energy has been transferred to the National Grid.
This achievement translates to an estimated 340 tonnes less COâ‚‚ emissions, which is the equivalent of planting 5,600 trees or saving 170 tonnes of standard coal.
Key
managers:
I joined Weatherite in November 2010 and started my career in engineering, advancing from hands-on roles to leadership positions at companies such as Venduct Engineering, AC Wright Favell, and IDEAL Air Conditioning.
In 2016, after serving as General Manager at Weatherite Service & Maintenance, I was promoted to Director. Since then, I’ve built a highly skilled and experienced team, and together, we continue to drive growth year after year.
I began my journey with Weatherite in August 1990 as an Office Junior at Cradley Heath. Over the years, I progressed into a Service Coordinator role before expanding my expertise into accounts. My career has evolved alongside the company, moving with WBSL to Cannock and Aldridge, where I was promoted to Accounts Manager. In 2014, I transitioned to WSML at West Bromwich and am now proud to serve as Office Manager.
With decades of experience across multiple divisions, I have developed a deep understanding of the business, ensuring smooth office operations and financial oversight.
I started my career at Weatherite Service & Maintenance Ltd in September 2011 as a Service Coordinator and have since taken on various roles that have refined my expertise in coordination and estimation.
Today, I oversee contracts, estimation, and operations, ensuring both clients and employees receive the support they need. My journey has been incredibly rewarding, providing opportunities for both professional and personal growth.
I began my career at Weatherite in October 1989 as an aspiring electrician, working on all aspects of electrical systems for major clients like BT, Tesco, M&S, and British Airways. In 1997, I transitioned to Service and Maintenance, specialising in commissioning, testing, and fire integration systems like VESDA.
In 2015, I was appointed Service Manager at WSML, overseeing job planning, compliance, technical support, training, and health & safety for service engineers. With decades of hands-on experience, I’m committed to delivering top-tier service and supporting both clients and colleagues.
I began my career with WSML in August 2010 as an Apprentice Service Engineer, and over the years, I have progressed through various roles within the organization, both technical and managerial, ultimately reaching my current position as Installation Manager. My experience as a Service Engineer has been invaluable in shaping my understanding of the practical aspects of project execution, allowing me to approach my current responsibilities with a comprehensive, engineer-focused perspective.
In my current role, I am responsible for conducting site surveys, developing designs, preparing quotes, and managing projects from inception to completion. I take pride in the dynamic nature of my work and am committed to delivering tailored HVAC solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.
