Why Weatherite?
Guaranteed to meet your requirements
Some of our competitors will insist they can meet your requirements, however this may not be possible with an “off-the-shelf” product. We design and build systems – to meet your specification exactly.
Discover the Power of R290 Refrigeration with Weatherite!
For over 15 years, Weatherite has been at the forefront of British manufacturing, delivering bespoke R290 refrigeration solutions that are both high-quality and environmentally friendly. Our systems use R290 (Propane) refrigerant, which boasts an impressively low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 3. This means you get a greener solution without compromising on performance.
Why choose R290? Not only is it more energy-efficient in high operating conditions than other natural refrigerants like CO2, but it also requires less compressor power, making it a cost-effective choice for both commercial and industrial applications. Plus, all our systems come with integrated BMS-compatible controls for seamless operation.
Our fully trained engineers are ready to support your service and maintenance needs, ensuring your systems run smoothly and efficiently. With compliance to Directive 2014-68-EU, PSR2016, and DSEAR, you can trust in the safety and reliability of our products.
Weatherite's Commitment to Sustainable Business Practices
At Weatherite, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From investing in solar energy and adopting electric vehicles to implementing eco-friendly refrigerants and innovative energy-saving practices, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and driving a greener future.
In just 18 months, Weatherite has made significant strides in embracing renewable energy with the installation of 1,080 solar panels, spanning approximately 2,500 m² of factory roof space.
Since going live in August 2023, these solar panels have produced a remarkable 503,742 kWh of green energy. Here’s how it’s making a difference:
⋅ Self-use: 268,628 kWh of renewable energy has been used on-site.
⋅ Grid Contribution: 235,114 kWh of excess energy has been transferred to the National Grid.
This achievement translates to an estimated 340 tonnes less CO₂ emissions, which is the equivalent of planting 5,600 trees or saving 170 tonnes of standard coal.

FAQs
What do you mean when you state packaged AHU?
A Weatherite package Air conditioning units consists of all components being wired back to an inbuilt control panel. The unit may also have built in refrigeration that doesn’t require a separate condenser to be supplied..
What do you mean when you state that you offer bespoke?
Weatherite bespoke means that we can completely tailor the design to your requirements and site limitations. We are not restricted by a pre-designed standard range.
If you have existing plant onsite that needs replacing we can offer solutions to match existing infrastructure whilst ensuring more upto date technologies are included within new equipment.
Do you also provide controls?
Weatherite is a Trend OEM and offers a package control system along with software solutions and commissioning when requested.
Can you supply a reverse cycle heat pump?
Weatherite can offer their own manufactured reverse cycle heat pumps, either remote or packaged within the AHU/Rooftop units. Weatherite can also offer solutions to accommodate remote heat pump condensers that are supplied by others.
Do I need a separate condenser with one of your packages?
Weatherite can offer units where the condenser is pre-installed along with compressor sets, all piped, charged with refrigerant and factory tested to minimise works on site.
What types of refrigerants do you use?
Weatherite can offer a range of low GWP refrigerants to suit most applications.
Do you get cooling benefits from your heat recovery device?
When there is a cooling demand, and the return air temperature is lower than the external ambient, you are able to get sensible cooling recovery on plate heat exchangers to reduce the mechanical cooling load. However, Thermal wheels with sorption rotors are able to give latent and sensible cooling recovery to further reduce mechanical cooling loads.
Do I need a separate inverter for fan motors to vary speed?
When there is a cooling demand, and the return air temperature is lower than the external ambient, you are able to get sensible cooling recovery on plate heat exchangers to reduce the mechanical cooling load. However, Thermal wheels with sorption rotors are able to give latent and sensible cooling recovery to further reduce mechanical cooling loads.
Can your units integrate into a BMS?
Weatherite units can integrate into most BMS systems through the integrated BacNet controller.
What's your lead time?
Our lead time varies due to our current day stocking levels. Please contact the office for a live up to date lead time based upon current stocks and bespoke component availability from our supply chain.
What unit finish/colours can I have?
Weatherite offer a number of standard colours which are off the shelf however we can source alternatives to suit requirements or environment of the unit.
